We arrived a few days ago. We went from 37C to -2C which meant that immediately we all got a cold, sore throat and constant coughing…bleeeeh… welcome home! ahaha

I have a lot to do. Not only here at home (like unpacking 4 large suitcases), but also regarding my shop. But first things first….

A few days before I left Argentina I received a package from Jen who makes the most delicious hand bound books (paintedfishstudio).

Jen also included the funniest thing. A japanese fish fortune teller… you put it in your hand and depending on how it reacts your fortune will be…in my case it immediately curled over, so apparently “Passionate” is what I am or will be my luck…

I also finished and sent all the packages for the lucky winners of the give away. Five girls got around 200gr worth of fine merino wool, prefelts, bamboo, tencel, soja fibre and some wool neps I had.

By tuesday 26th most of them had recived them.  On my first stop coming back home (it’s along trip from Patagonia. First one has to go to Argentina’s capital city, Buenos Aires); I met for coffee with Gabriela, Maria Lidia and  Silvia… 3 of the winners. We shared some knowledge and plans for the year. Talked about the state of “felting” in Argentina…what is needed what is lacking, etc. It was really nice to put a face to some of the people that visit this website.

Llegamos hace un par de días. Fuimos de los 37C de Buenos Aires a los -2 C de Holanda. Frio, frio. Nieva cada dos por tres lo cual es lindo ver pero cansa un poco cuando esta todo mojado, congelado, medio sucio.  Por supuesto ya nos resfriamos… bienvenidos a casa!

Unos días antes de salir de Argentina, recibí un paquete de Jen de PaintedFishstudio. Un librito encuadernado a mano con los mas deliciosos sobrecitos. Esas cosas que son tan dulces que te dan pena usar! (fotos arriba). Incluía tambien un pescadito japonés que supuestamente al ponerlo en tu mano reacciona a tu calor/frío corporal y te dice tu fortuna. Sería la cosa de la temperatura latina o que hacían mas de 30C…no se, pero la cosa es que el pescadito se enrulo inmediatamente vaticinando mi personalidad apasionada… o una vida apasionada…algo asi.

Tambien terminé de hacer los paquetitos y mandarlos a las 5 ganadoras del sorteo. Cada una recibió unos 200gr de lana, prefelts, bambu, soja, tencel y wool neps. A los pocos días cuando me encontré con algunas de las ganadoras: Maria Lidia, Silvia y Gabriela; me comentaron que ya habían recibido todo. Nos tomamos unos jugos para ahogar el calor aplastante de Buenos Aires, compartimos conocimientos, charlamos sobre el estado del mundo fieltrista en Argentina, hicimos planes y nos reímos un rato. Fue muy lindo realmente. Especialmente porque por fin pude ponerles cara y voz a algunos de los visitantes de este website. Seguimos en contacto chicas!

Tengo muchas cosas que hacer…por lo pronto podría empezar por terminar de desarmar las 4 valijas que trajimos de Argentina… pero tambien tengo cosas que hacer para el negocio. Hoy o mañana sale una nueva newsletter o Boletin de noticias con algunas novedades. Asi que si no estan anotados todavía… ahi arriba, a la derecha… un email se necesita nomas. Tengo que contestar emails y visitar blogs pero lo haré en esta semana.
